I apologize

I really do. Posting something like this isn't like me at all, but it's just so right on. You don't have to watch it if you don't want to. Ah freedom.

Cinemehameha -or- What??? No Krillin?

Dragonball Evolution opens April 8th. Chow Yun Fat is Master Roshi.
My wish to the eternal dragon would be to never let them make another crap live-action version of an animation series ever again. Not one ever, mind you, but never a crappy one. ...Scooby-doo, I'm looking over your shoulder at Keanu's ability to play Spike Speigel...

No Krillin. That's already strike one. I know ya godda cut something when you go to the big screen, but Krillin?
Who's the best character on Dragonball? Who is the only Dragonball action figure I bought? Who's the only Dragonball character I made for No Mercy? Who convinced Master Roshi to train him by giving him girlie mags? Who's the one who never asks for or takes the glory? Who's always the first one in to the fight? Who goes in anyway knowing he'll get his ass beat? Who takes the beating time and time again if only to buy time for the heroes? Who can give as good as he gets?
It's Krillin. He's the rug that ties the room together, and it won't be the same without him. That sux.

For Krillin:

Ouch! It Burns!

From a decent Fark Photoshop Thread - Something that does not exist but should. Why don't I sign up and do these things? (the photoshop contest, not the gamma rays) Looks fun!

I also give a shout-out to the Psycho Meter iPhone App.

Roninball

As of this coming Monday, I will be a ronin contracting to samurai.

With 27 games left in the season, I've been hired by the Oklahoma City Thunder to help with their new website launch. It's a short-term (3-month) contract, and the best of both worlds. I remain ronin, while being able to use my kung-fu to do graphics, webstuff, and help lift the 405 up, all while working for someone cool. I'll also gain a lot of contacts, get cheap Thunder tickets, and form a relationship with people with a great possibility to contract with me after the season. Oh, and I'll be working here:
I think I should wait a bit before attempting to pitch a new logo to em.
I'm honing my blade right now. Go Thunder.

It won't be in the movie....

but it will be an extra on the DVD. This only encourages me as I sort-of knew they wouldn't have time for it in the film version. It's kind of sad, but understandable at the same time. And at least they didn't dismiss it completely. What would be extra great is if the DVD version had a selection to watch a re-cut of the movie to include it where it was in the novel.
Bestest part is that it's animated, which shouldn't have been any other way.

My latest poster

...and latest client. The Romantic Disaster. <--[Myspace link warning!] Give em a listen.
Funny how ever many creative and talented people leave Oklahoma, it seems there's always more to step up in place.

Rated "E"

Funny, because I just had a conversation with the guy who sent me this about developing a game.

The details are Here
I'd link to newsOK, but they are unsurprisingly mum. I can't even find a nerdage blog post about it, let alone an actual news story just stating the facts.

Big Dead's

Aw. I just heard that Big Ed of Big Ed's Hamburgers died last week. I always wanted to know what happened to his franchise and now I know. The truth is really ugly sometimes.
I liked his food, loved his commercials and he was always nice when I saw him. He lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up and the last time I saw him, he stopped in his custom Suburban (customized to accomodate his bigness) to talk with us kids just messin around on a summer day. That was only about a year before the tragedy that wrecked his family and business. If I could go back and warn him, I would.
There's still one store left. I'll raise a burger for ya.
